So it’s officially June which means IT’S SUMMER EVERYBODY (well, it is for me in England, if you’re entering winter, I’m sorry, but you probably still have nicer weather than us in England). And of course, this is marked by the start of Love Island in the UK which starts so soon! Basically, when Love Island begins, you know summer has begun (I hate myself for loving it so much, but oh well we can’t be perfect can we).
What does this summer have in store for me?
S – Sun – Of course, this is top of the list. The stereotype that English people are obsessed with the weather is very true in too many causes. If only us people in the UK could have another summer like we did last year … then who would need to go away to find the sun?! For me, an integral part of summer is the sun (and I do get quite grumpy when it’s raining … this wasn’t what I was told summer would be like when I was younger!)
U – Under-developed tans – My mum always said that I am an “English Rose” … which was basically her code for telling me I was never going to tan so quite frankly I should stop trying. Every summer I tell myself I’m going to sit it out in the sun and try develop a tan so that when I get back from my travels people don’t still ask me when I’m going. But if I’m realistic, it’s never going to happen. I should just start self-tanning and get over it, but here I am … still ranting … still obsessing about the tan that never comes …
M – Majorca – three best friends and I are having a chilled out all inclusive week in the sun, living for the holiday we didn’t have together when we were 18. I’m sure there will be many a story from this holiday to tell …
M – Marbella – my friend and I are in the process of planning a trip to Marbella … I haven’t been to Spain for years and now I might be going twice in one summer and I’m living for this to be honest. Sangria, Sand, Sun … what’s not to love?!
E – East Coast USA – it’s just over 2 weeks until I jet off to America and explore. I’ve been waiting for this day for so long and it’s just a few short weeks away!
R – Rants, stories, adventures AND MORE! This summer will be the first one where I’ve been running a blog and documenting my adventures. I’m determined to make it the best it can be, hopefully entertaining you and helping you too along the way.
What has this summer got in store for you?! I live for hearing about other people’s adventures and plans, so let me know either in the comments, or through my twitter and Instagram!
“Smell the sea, feel the sky, let your soul and spirit fly”
I could not be more envious of your Majorca and Marbella trips! Sangria, tapas and sunshine = my ideal summer!! Enjoy!! xx Naomi

I hate that love island is so addicting haha. I actually stopped watching half way through last year because it just made me so angry and judgy and I didn’t like seeing that side of me. I told myself I wouldn’t watch this year but now we know the cast, I’m tempted

I hate myself for being so addicted … it’s my guilty pleasure! But I agree, it’s not something I’m proud of 😅

So many fun exciting things happening this summer! This post has inspired me to do some planning as well. Maybe a trip and visits to the lake.
Safe travels with your upcoming trip! Hope to see pictures or another blog post about it soon!
